Mactaggart & Mickel Homes

Building Communities Fund

How can we assist?

At Mactaggart & Mickel Homes we have a long and happy history of supporting good causes and initiatives local to our developments, from Glasgow to Ayrshire and Edinburgh. The Building Communities Fund has been created to continue this support, giving an extra helping hand to these projects and good causes.

If you are a charity, community group, sports team or school near one of our developments, you can apply for a donation to fund anything from new equipment to travel costs.

To apply simply complete the form below.

Our recent donation helped…. Young Enterprise Scotland!

Thornliebank based charity Young Enterprise Scotland, which works to inspire and educate young people through enterprise, received a donation of £1,000 in December 2016. The funding will support the charity's Pathways programme for young people which combines practical experience and personal development to improve their work readiness.

Paul McAninch, our Finance Director, who nominated the charity, commented: “The work that Young Enterprise Scotland is involved in fits perfectly with the ethos behind our Building Communities Fund. It’s wonderful to see the next generation of our workforce strengthen their skills, gain confidence and develop their entrepreneurialism. As a company we value our own young talent and invest in their training and future skills, and we are proud that our Building Communities Fund allows us to help other organisations like YES enrich young people’s lives and give them opportunities to succeed.”

Geoff Leask, Chief Executive from Young Enterprise Scotland added: “We’re really grateful to Mactaggart & Mickel Homes for awarding this funding to our group to support our Pathways programme. This is a training programme for the young people most disengaged from traditional employment and education and helps them work towards an SQA certification - seeing the students well on the way to employment and exciting careers.”
