The 12 acre former Forrest Furnishing factory site at Salters Road is now set for a transformation as Mactaggart & Mickel Homes announced that it plans a phased development project to regenerate the site. Initial plans have been approved by Mid Lothian Council and were the subject of community consultation. The current application sets out Mactaggart & Mickel Home’s detailed proposals for the site. The first phase of the development consists of the provision of 100 residential units including 25 affordable homes. Initial designs included a variety of detached and semi-detached properties and a small number of apartments.
