Mactaggart & Mickel Contracting are keen to undertake Design & Build contracts with affordable housing providers. Our experienced land and design department are highly skilled in managing a development from initial design and feasibility through to achieving all necessary consents e.g. planning, Scottish Water, SEPA and Building Warrant. The project is then handed over to our construction management team who are able to project manage the development through to final handover to the client and into the defects liability period. Throughout this whole process we would strive to keep the client satisfied and fully updated at all times.

In 2010 we completed the design and build contract with Dunedin Canmore HA for a flatted development of 22 units at our Lochrin development, Fountainbridge, Edinburgh. The scheme incorporated Dunedin Canmore’s own design parameters whilst complying with our own quality standards and attention to detail. Due to complete this year is Stuart Square in East Craigs, Edinburgh which consists of 18 units for Place for People HA, and at Cherrybank we will deliver 15 units in partnership with Link Housing Association.
