As part of Mcataggart & Mickel’s Aidan’s Brae development in Clarkston we were delighted to provide a £500,000 purpose built Scout Hall for the 121st Glasgow Scout Group. Out long association with the 121st Group goes back to 1949 when Mactaggart & Mickel donated the land for the previous scout hall, known as the Mickel Hall.
With record numbers of young people joining the Scouts, Mactaggart & Mickel’s contribution provides an educational and social facility to sustain this long standing part of the community. One part of the building has been named the Mactaggart & Mickel Hall.
Jimmy Paterson, Group Scout Leader for the 121st Glasgow Scout Group, said: “It is a fitting tribute on the Group’s 80th anniversary that we are presented with a facility for the 21st century.
