Mactaggart & Mickel is currently seeking planning permission for 1,000 new houses on a 100 ha Greenfield site to the South West of Kirkcaldy.

Identified by Fife Council as an area for the growth of Kirkcaldy, the development will provide a range of housing including apartments, town houses, detached and terraced houses.

The development will provide a new primary school with associated recreational and play facilities which is intended to serve the wider community outside school hours.

Development is programmed to occur over a fifteen year period and will support around 350 jobs over the development period.

A future phase of approximately 400 new houses is currently being promoted by Mactaggart & Mickel and its development partner for development to Fife Council through the emerging local plan.
