
The founders of Mactaggart & Mickel in the late 19th Century started their business from Bo'ness and the development of the Drum marked a return to the town for the company. This award winning development comprised phase 1 of a six phase masterplan and consisted of 244 homes including a range of house types from 1-2 bed flats through to 3&4 bed detached homes.
Strong architectural design and innovative design solutions on the site has led to the site consistently receiving national planning, design and housing awards both for the quality of its architecture and masterplanning.
Our initial phase featured the following:
- Home zone style streetscape designed to be pedestrian friendly and not dominated by the car.
- Rear parking courts to remove the cars from the street.
- Dsitinctive archtiecture with a range of homes including 20% affordbale delivered via our own shared equity scheme.
