We hope you all had an enjoyable festive break and we would like to wish everyone a very prosperous year ahead.
The positive news stories and results about the countries economy beginning to filtering through are helping everyone have a more optimistic outlook for 2010. The GSPC reported that the Halifax has said that UK house prices were 1.1% higher in December 2009 than a year earlier- it is the first time that Halifax house price index has reported positive annual house price inflation since last May; the BBC reported that the Halifax and Nationwide have both said that the unemployment figures had not been as bad as had been expected in 2009 and that the British Chambers of Commerce (BCC) has reported that the UK economy is now on the “brink of leaving recession.
