Welcome to The Rise!

The Rise is located to the north of Largs town centre only a few minutes from the local shops, churches, sports centre, cafes, bars and restaurants.

Since Victorian times, Largs has been recognised as a desirable retreat and inspiring town. Sailing vessels span the panoramic views down the rugged Ayrshire coastline, the Isle of Cumbrae, Rothesay and over to the spectacular peaks of Arran.

At Largs you can fill your leisure hours with an extensive choice of watersports, fishing, cycling, hill walking or a round on one of the challenging golf courses. If this sounds too demanding then simply take a leisurely stroll along the promenade or through the many beautiful parks and flowering gardens. And with regular trains you can be in Glasgow city centre in around an hour.

One of Ayrshire's most popular hotels Seamill Hydro is only a short drive from our Largs development complete with restaurants, bars and leisure facilities.

Tips from the Sales Consultants

Railway

Largs Railway Station is the closest station to the development with regular services to Killwinning, Paisley Gilmour Street and Glasgow Central as well as connecting services to Fairlie and West Kilbride.

Bus

There are a few local bus routes in and around Largs including Stagecoach 585, which travels around Ayrshire coastal towns. The Arriva Largs Bus (number 18) alights at Braehead Shopping Centre in close proximity to IKEA.

Local Amenities

Largs offers a wide range of local amenities including:

  • Escape Leisure Centre
  • Sport Scotland Facilities
  • Yacht Marina

Supermarkets Morrison’s and Tesco are only a short distance from the Development.

There are a number of reputable Dentists and local Doctors surgeries as well as reputable pharmacies Boots and Moss, local to the development.

Pubs/Restaurants/Nightlife

Largs offers a number of local pubs and restaurants such as the Royal Oak Bar, The George, which is a recommended pub and restaurant for light bites, and The Fiddlers. Nearby Greenock also offers a number of nightclubs and bars for the younger residents. Nardini’s is a famous and well-recommended Italian restaurant and famous for its delicious ice cream. Also The Star of India for excellent Indian Cuisine. Local Coffee Shop The Bean and Leaf also comes highly recommended.

Schools

Primary Schools in the area include Brisbane Primary School and St. Mary’s Primary School. Secondary Schools near by are Largs Academy and Garnock Academy all offering excellent educational facilities.

Recreation (parks, beaches etc)

As well as a number of water sporting activities available in Largs, Millport is only a short ferry journey away and offers a number of recreational activities for all the family including Bike Hire for a scenic cycling trip around the island. Millport also has some lovely quaint coffee shops, gift shops and traditional bars. Kelburn Castle is also nearby for an historic and scenic walk.
