After nine decades in the property business, Mactaggart & Mickel are one of the most established market leaders in the industry. Our wealth of expertise is based on our acquisitions in the Scottish property market, where we have been helping landowners maximize their profits for some time.

For the last three years Mactaggart & Mickel’s Strategic Planning division has been fully operational in England. During this time the company has secured 350 acres of land in both the North West and South West. Our current projects include small residential sites and large mixed use developments in a range of different areas. This includes a 45 acre site in Newcastle Road near Crewe in Cheshire, where Mactaggart & Mickel are currently promoting 450 residential homes to the local authority.

In comparison, our 1,000 acre greenfield proposal in the Somerset town of Taunton has been identified as an ideal area in which to base up to 8000 new homes with associated infrastructure.

With every project we undertake, we look to engage with the local community and believe it is essential to develop good working relationships with local authorities early in the planning process.

We are always open to new opportunities in the Strategic Land market and are happy to look at a wide variety of potential developmental sites throughout the UK. This would include brownfield, urban sites with a pre-existing use and greenfield sites near the edge of an existing settlement.
