Mactaggart & Mickel Timber Systems has hosted another live on-site demonstration of the construction of a Closed Panel house, at our Loccard Park site in Symington, Ayrshire.

The event was attended by a number of invited guests, and showcased the innovative Modern Methods of Construction through which Timber Systems are able to construct a wind and watertight home in just one day.

The Mactaggart & Mickel Timber Systems team was on hand to answer questions and to offer professional advice and assistance throughout the day.

The event provided the opportunity for guests to view first-hand the company’s innovative systems and range of products, including floor cassettes and our cutting-edge bathroom pods. Manufactured and constructed at the Mactaggart & Mickel Timber Systems factory in Coatbridge, the state-of-the-art pods are transported directly to site, where they are installed by the Mac & Mic team as part of a unique systems-led build process. The completed unit requires minimal connections once installed within the fabric of the building.

The company has the capacity to deliver a development project from land and design through production, erection, build, sales and aftercare.  Mactaggart & Mickel Timber Systems’ modern methods of construction range from open and closed panel timber frames and staircases to bespoke self-builds.

If you would be interested in seeing the on-site construction of one of our closed panel homes, or visiting our factory in Coatbridge, please do get in touch via the “Contact us” form.

Mactaggart & Mickel Timber Systems has hosted an installation demonstration, showing building contractors and housebuilders from across Scotland how the company can build homes that are wind and watertight in just one day.

The event, which took place at Mactaggart & Mickel's The Rise development just north of Largs town centre, provided the exclusive opportunity for builders, architects, registered social landlords and contractors to see the Mactaggart & Mickel Timber Systems team building a family home with their innovative closed-panel system in a matter of hours. Attended by more than 15 guests, Mactaggart & Mickel’s team was on hand to answer questions and to offer professional advice and assistance throughout the day.

There was also the chance for guests to view the company’s new cutting-edge bathroom pods. Manufactured and constructed at Mactaggart & Mickel’s Timber Systems factory in Coatbridge, the state-of-the-art pods transport directly to site, where they are installed by the MacMic team as part of a unique systems-led build process. The completed unit requires minimal connections once installed within the fabric of the building.

The Timber Systems “one-stop-shop” model means the team can erect a wind and watertight frame in one day. The company has the capacity to deliver a project from land and design through production, erection, build, sales and aftercare.  Mactaggart & Mickel’s Timber Systems’ modern methods of construction range from open and closed panel timber frames and staircases to bespoke self-builds.
