Scottish Housebuilder of the Year* Mactaggart & Mickel Group has given its home on the web a makeover.
The new website reflects the successful growth of the Group in recent years following its diversification strategy. Each of the divisions’ web pages have been redeveloped to offer a comprehensive guide to the company’s capabilities, from Commercial Property’s extensive portfolio of opportunities and Contracts’ wealth of construction services to the cost saving benefits of Mactaggart & Mickel Timber Systems.
The Homes division’s new website uses the latest technology to help customers find their perfect property with ease. Potential buyers can arrange a viewing or request a call back from one of the company’s Institute of Customer Service certified sales consultants at the click of a button.
The Find a Perfect Home search function, which allows visitors to narrow down the array of properties on offer to meet their specifications, has also been improved. Househunters can zoom in on sites to explore them in detail and even get some tips from the sales consultants on the best local amenities.
The company has seen an increase in the volume of potential buyers who access its site from mobile devices such as smartphones and as a result has invested in a dedicated mobile site designed to be compatible for viewing on handsets. QR codes on Mactaggart & Mickel Homes’ advertising mean consumers now also have instant access to more information if they spot the home of their dreams in the pages of their daily newspaper.
Sales and marketing director Joanne Casey explains the rationale behind the relaunch: “While our last website was award-winning, we have not rested on our laurels, embracing technology to make our clients and stakeholders’ online experience as beneficial as possible.
“Take for example our new mobile site. The way in which househunters search for a new home has changed in recent years and very often the website will be the first point of contact for potential customers. The mobile functionality makes information gathering even simpler for our customers so whether you’re on the sofa with your iPad or on the move with your Android phone you can quickly and easily access our site.”
