Mactaggart & Mickel Timber Systems was founded in 2007. Combining the experience and expertise of an established timber systems company with the long heritage of a leading independent housebuilder, we offer a market-leading product and service.

Although only in business a short time, we’ve already expanded the company, with a second manufacturing facility and increased staff numbers. We are delighted to be the sole supplier of timber systems to Mactaggart and Mickel Contracts for their construction of part of the 2014 Commonwealth Games Athletes’ Village. The units we’re currently helping to build will be sold as 229 homes following the Games’ completion.

Timber Systems is led by Ross Mickel, one of the fourth generation of Mickels to be involved in the running of the family business. As General Manager, Ross heads up an experienced management team, consisting of Business Development Manager David Parker, Production Manager Jim Gillespie, Estimator Martin Fitzsimmons and Site Supervisor Jim Reynolds. Each of these managers brings a wealth of experience with them in their own individual field giving a very strong core team which we can build on as we grow.
