Ross Mickel Director
Ross is a 4th generation family member who first joined Mactaggart & Mickel’s Homes division in January 2006. Ross was appointed Commercial Manager of Mactaggart & Mickel Timber Systems upon our acquisition of the business in March 2007.
In his role, Ross has overseen the development and implementation of our innovative closed panel system and bathroom pods, in addition to working with outside partners as part of our recent contracts at Erskine, Renfrew and Lochrin, Edinburgh. From this Ross was promoted to General Manager in May 2010 and has lead Timber Systems into Profit for the first time.

David Parker Business Development Manager
David joined Mactaggart & Mickel Timber Systems in January 2010 having some 25 years experience gained in working within the timber frame industry and a sound knowledge of manufacturing and delivering product correctly within program. David is tasked with overseeing the growth of our timber frame division via the procurement of external sales contracts and the creation of strategic partnerships within the public, private and commercial sectors alongside the self-build market.

Jim Gillespie Production Manager
Jim is responsible for all aspects of the production, from receiving the designs through to the delivery of the kit on site. Jim has great knowledge of building in timber frame having worked on the manufacturing of the panels for several years and working his way through the company to become production manager. With this experience Jim has a great attention to detail in the manufacturing process ensuring that every panel produced is to the exact dimensions specified on the plans.

Martin Fitzsimmons Estimator and Procurement Manager
Having gained considerable practical experience both in manufacturing and erecting timber frame kits, Martin heads up our estimating department and his responsibilities also include the procurement of roof trusses and engineered I-beams for our external projects.

Jim Reynolds Site Supervisor
Once the kit is sent to site our qualified and experienced kit erectors get to work constructing the building. All this site work is over seen by Jim who brings with him years of experience in on site work. Every kit is signed off and handed over to the client by Jim ensuring a standard of excellence expected by all of our clients.
