Adding Value to the land owner
Why sell to Mactaggart & Mickel?
People aspire to buy a Mactaggart & Mickel home and are prepared to pay a premium for the quality and individuality they associate with the Mactaggart & Mickel name. This premium will enable Mactaggart & Mickel to create best value for each and every development opportunity and therefore, by association, offering an enhanced value to the land owner.
Where do we buy land?
Our developments are built on a mix of recycled ‘brownfield' sites and on the edge of existing villages, and cities. Brownfield sites are typically well located in established environments, close to shops, schools and transport links. Also, by building new houses in an existing village a local school or shop can be given an added boost to its viability and it may even justify a re-opening of a disused railway station. This level of development enables individuals to continue to live or return to their hometown, which in turn facilitates the continuing prosperity of community life.
Geographically we prefer to focus on the area that extends from the Ayrshire coast in the west up through Glasgow and its suburbs across to Edinburgh and East Lothian. We would also look at land opportunities in Perth, but no further North
How do we decide which land to buy?
Quality not Quantity
Land owners often choose to work with Mactaggart & Mickel because of our ability to work with Planning Authorities to create the best possible use of each site.
What we do with the land we own?
Exceeding Expectations
At Mactaggart & Mickel we believe in creating something different by design. Careful attention is paid to the layout of our developments, the elevations of our homes and innovative internal specification. Our homes retain a traditional Scottish feel and we constantly strive for the most sympathetic interpretation to the surrounding area.
We operate a policy through which individuals who introduce the company to a new off market site, will receive £15,000 when we receive planning consent.
