Mactaggart & Mickel Homes’ site team at Polnoon in Eaglesham have joined forces with local community development group TREE once again, to help the pupils from Eaglesham Primary School to complete a colourful mural in the Village.
TREE had set their sights on a bus shelter situated close to the development on Gilmour Street, which was originally built by Mactaggart & Mickel as part of our historic Polnoon development of the 1970s, but had since lost its “shine”. Polnoon assistant site manager Willie McBlain along with his team added a coating of roughcasting to the old structure, giving the perfect canvas for the local pupils to create their colourful designs which show Eaglesham’s beautiful countryside surroundings.
The team at Polnoon have previously worked with TREE on other projects to improve the village, including providing large concrete rings as unique pavement planters to bring some greenery and flowers to centre of Eaglesham.
Our Polnoon development has proved to be very popular and we are always eager to support and help the local communities in which we operate; we look forward to delivering more projects in 2016.
