Our Greenan Views development in Doonfoot, Ayr was recently visited by Corri Wilson MP following an outstanding achievement by our multi award-winning Site Manager, Stuart Gillespie.
Ms Wilson who is MP for Ayr, Carrick and Cumnock paid Stuart a visit after hearing of his success at the “Oscars” of the housebuilding industry, the NHBC Pride in the Job Supreme Awards in London in January, at which he was named the number two ranking site manager in the UK having already scooped a Regional Award for Scotland, for the sixth time, in October. Stuart is also a three time recipient of the UK Supreme Award (Medium builder).
During Ms Wilson’s visit, Stuart provided her with a guided tour of the live site and showhomes, accompanied by other members of the Mactaggart & Mickel Homes team; directors Joanne Casey and Peter Shepherd, and Sales Consultant Gheila Galbraith.
Corri Wilson MP commented: “I’ve been delighted to have the opportunity to see round the site here at Greenan Views. It is clear Stuart and his team have put in a lot of hard work to provide new homes for such a wide range of people. Developments like this are crucial if we are to attract new people and businesses to the area, and to provide affordable homes for our young people and their families.”
Greenan Views is one of the biggest developments Stuart has worked on during his many years with the company. Despite his ongoing recognition Stuart is a big believer in the power of team work and credits his success to the dedication and hard work demonstrated by his entire team:
“It’s great to be recognised for your hard work but everyone in the industry knows that you can’t have a successful development without the support and commitment of a good team like I have at Greenan Views.
“It was a real honour to welcome Corri Wilson MP to the site today and let her see first-hand the work currently being carried out to provide quality homes in the area.”
