The Wellington School nursery class discovers Greenan Views!

Our team at Greenan Views were delighted to welcome some very special visitors from Wellington School nursery in Ayr on Friday 24th March!

The pupils and their teachers had a VIP tour of our showhomes with our award-winning site manager Stuart Gillespie who, together with colleagues Andy Oliver, Karen Bradley and Jamie McLean, explained the processes related to housebuilding as part of the pupils' science engineering project inspired by the well-known fairy tale story of the three little pigs.

The children and their teacher Carol Gibson were given a tour of our beautiful four-bedroom Burnet show home, which was followed by visits to other plots in various stages of completion, to help the pupils gain an understanding of basic construction processes, from early planning to the build and then onto the interior finishing of the house. They also had a special glimpse of a real working building site in progress, possibly inspiring a few to consider future careers in the construction industry!

Carol Gibson, classroom teacher at Wellington School nursery, added: “The pupils have been so excited to visit Greenan Views and see real life houses being built. They’ve absolutely loved hearing all about the process of building and have learned lots to develop their science projects. Thanks to Mactaggart & Mickel Homes for giving the children such insight on their visit today.”
