There are some things that just seem destined to happen – and that certainly appears to be the case for Ewan Sheen.

For it was completely by chance that Ewan came across Mactaggart & Mickel’s Childrey Park development in Oxfordshire.

And in no time at all, the 24-year-old first-time buyer knew that Childrey Park was the perfect place for him.

“I was looking for a new home in the area and I pretty much stumbled across Childrey Park when I was driving to see a friend,” Ewan said.

“It wasn’t really on my radar, but I liked the look of the Mactaggart & Mickel houses and the fact it was a relatively small development really appealed to me.

“It quickly became apparent that Mactaggart & Mickel are a customer-focused, family-owned company who pride themselves on quality and attention to detail in their houses.

“My home seemed completely different to the mainstream and the quality of the fixtures and fittings they used seemed top-notch.

“That was important to me because I appreciate good design and I liked the open-plan lay-out of the house so all in all it made for an easy choice on my part.”

Ewan, who works in sales and marketing for a start-up tech company in Didcot, was driven to buy his new Mactaggart & Mickel home in more ways than one.

“The garden is a generous size and outdoor space seems to be more important than ever at the moment, especially when you’re homeworking like me” Ewan added.

“It’s nice to have be near the shops and have the countryside on my doorstep but I’m a petrolhead as well and having a driveway to park my car was another big factor.”
