Roisin and Robert

Roisin and Robert moved into their brand new 5-bedroom Adam home at Lethington Gardens in Haddington in 2019 with their one-year-old daughter Aideen. Having left London, they were keen to find a spacious home that was close to Roisin’s twin sister, Ursula.

Roisin Arbuthnot said:
“We lived in London for six years and had always planned to move back up to Scotland once we started a family. We’d been living in Wallyford while we looked at a number of homes in the Haddington area as my twin sister lives there and we wanted to find a home that had plenty of room while also being close to her.

“We looked at homes from a few different housebuilders in the area but after we saw the Mactaggart & Mickel showhome we knew we didn’t want or need to see any other properties. The quality of the build and the service has been exceptional.”

Roisin continues:
“Both my sister and I have a two-year-old. We have also both recently had our second babies and so we were looking for somewhere to live that was suitable and welcoming for families. Lethington Gardens has a really nice community feel to it and it’s so easy to be able to walk to Haddington high street.”

“We also wanted a home that we could adapt to our changing requirements. Robert worked from home quite a lot even before lockdown, so we needed space for him to do that, but also for a new baby, the pram and everything else that comes with a new addition to the family.”

Robert added: 
“We’re in a great location for the bypass too. My head office is in London so it is important to be able to get to Waverley Station or Edinburgh Airport easily.”
