The Bryce is a home synonymous with Greenan Views, and we have now had two show homes which use its footprint to showcase the class and originality of Mactaggart & Mickel. We have our current show home above which can be viewed in person, and our previous show home below, which is now closed but can still be referenced here online for inspiration. At Doonfoot, we have been welcoming guests turned to residents through the doors of The Bryce for many years, and we invite you to join us now.

Step with us into the Bryce show home at Greenan Views. Located in Doonfoot, Ayr, you can feel the sea breeze from the development and the coastline is never too far away, with Greenan Castle providing an attractive landmark.

As you enter the Bryce, there’s an open area of hallway creating an inviting entrance space. Soft brown tones have been chosen for the wallpaper, and the combination of the large windows and circular mirror make the space feel even larger.

The lounge…

Moving into the lounge, we find a touch of coastal chic. Blues and greys make up the colour scheme, combined with fiery bursts of orange. Floor to ceiling curtains frame the impressive dual aspect windows, with a cosy armchair in the corner making the most of the architecture. There’s also large abstract prints on the wall, taking advantage of the wall space premium. Candles, books, and plants galore, this is a room for relaxation and finding your zen.

A spacious, modern kitchen…

The kitchen and dining area is an open plan space, with a classy and modern layout. The ochre backsplash running along the back wall is highlighted by the LED lighting under the units, creating a warm glow. This stands out against the white worktops for a nice contrast. The appliances are all integrated, including an oven, hob, dishwasher, and fridge freezer.

Turning our attention to the dining room, we have a feature wall which adds depth, and some soft blue velvet dining chairs and kitchenware, which tones nicely with the soft browns, golds, and ochre. The table is basked in the light shining through the French doors and the area provides a view of the landscaped garden.

Completing the ground floor layout is an under stairs W.C. It has been boldly decorated with half height tiling, and a geometric pattern on the upper portion of the walls, extending to the sloped ceiling.

Boutique bedrooms and bathrooms…

Ascending the U shaped staircase, there is a large window letting natural light in. The solid oak effect handrails add a real sense of quality craftsmanship. A spacious upper hallway then leads into each of the bedrooms. The main bedroom has been lushly decorated with champagne coloured carpets and a gold throw, paired with a leather backboard. The curtains span the full length of the wall, framing a beautiful window which fills the room with light and accentuates the space. The mirrored wardrobe sits parallel to the window on the opposite side of the room, reflecting light back into the room, and providing great, discreet storage for all your clothing and accessories.

You also have the en-suite, decorated with relaxing neutral tiling spanning the full height of the walls, and then as you look upwards, an interesting geometric pattern on the ceiling, which has chrome downlights. There’s a big, frosted window, and some of the features in the bathroom include a shower, a large wall mirror perfect for getting ready, and a large, heated towel rail perfect for drying out your towels and keeping you cosy.

The next bedroom is decorated adventurously – this is a room for those who like to be bold, brave and commit to something that will make a statement. The feature patterned wallpaper extending across the main wall of the bedroom extends on to the ceiling and creates the impression of gold chains cascading down from above and making their way down the wall. The rest of the room is decorated with more neutral colours that give the design space to breathe. We have also set the scene for comfort with some furry gold pillows and throws, which are just coaxing you to lie down on the bed and fall asleep.

Then we have bedroom 3. We have illustrated the versatility of this room by showing that you can fit both a single bed and office/dressing table into the space. This room could be your home office, guest bedroom, giant walk in wardrobe/getting ready area, or even a hobby room for exploring your passions. We’ve chosen some horizontal striped wallpaper to accentuate the length of the room, continuing the colour scheme from the first two bedrooms.

Then completing the upper floor, you have your main bathroom off the hallway, which has a real quality finish that showcases its full potential. There’s a bath and shower, large sink basin and wall mirror. The layout of this home maximises the daylight with yet another window in this room. There is a variation in the texture of the tiling behind the bath for a little bit of contrast with other walls, and some originality is added with the choice of ceiling décor, where we have a gold geometric pattern and some chrome downlights. It’s a room where you can enjoy some well-earned rest in tranquil surroundings.
