Eleanor and Jim French, St Jude's Meadow
Eleanor and Jim became Mactaggart & Mickel’s first ever homebuyers in England when they moved into their luxurious 3-bedroom Wyatt at St Jude’s Meadow in November 2019.
After downsizing from a converted barn, the couple were keen to stay in their local area and were immediately attracted to the charming Cotswold village of Milton-under-Wychwood.
“Unlike a lot of local villages we looked at, there’s so many amenities on the doorstep here; like a dentist, post office and a great local shop. Having fantastic services within walking distance is going to be really important for us as we get older.
Eleanor had never bought a newly-built home, but already appreciates the advantages.
“One of the main reasons for buying ‘new’ was to escape the maintenance costs of older properties – we have both decided to spend our money on having fun and really enjoying our retirement instead! One of the best things about our new home is the spacious kitchen/dining room. There’s so much light with the vaulted ceiling – it’s a really inviting space.”
